What I Want From My Heart - A Spanish Poem

I love the Spanish language and culture, I get that from my Grandpa. I can get by in Spanish, not fluent by any stretch, but enough to be okay on a holiday. I thought it would be nice to try and write a poem in Spanish, so here is my very simple attempt, along with a translated version too so you can understand it if you don’t speak Spanish. I hope you enjoy!

Quiero vida

Con direccion.

Quiero sentir

Todas las afecciones

Del Corazón.

Quiero bailar,

Colorear el mundo.

Quiero cantar

Todos los melodias

Del Corazón.

Quiero dormir

Por mil lunas,

Quiero reprimir

Todos los deseos

Del Corazón.

I want life

With direction.

I want to feel

All the affections

Of the heart.

I want to dance.

Colour the world.

I want to sing

All the melodies

Of the heart.

I want to rest

For a thousand moons,

I want to supress

All the desires

Of the heart.
